I enjoyed the steep learning curve and the responsibility that forced me to be prepared, timely, and engaged with the work that I was doing.
What I wish was different
Covid-19 had obvious effects on this internship that were out of our control. We attempted to minimize the effect, yet it ultimately played a role by creating delays in our work.
Advice
Be confident! The learning curve may seem steep but there is a wonderful community of people who are there to support you.

The first day at camp is extremely difficult and nothing seems to be going right. But it's only the first day like this, everyday it's getting better and better to that point, where you don't wanna leave anymore.

I loved working in a Research lab with others who do this as a career. It gave a glimpse of what a research career would look like. I also liked how independent the projects were and how they actually gave us tasks to perform, not simply cleaning after some other person as a lab aide.

I liked learning new skills and techniques such using excel, completing data entry, setting up for study visits, using Google voice, and quality control of EEG data.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to spend more time understanding more complex parts of the study.
Advice
Ask questions and ask to be introduced to more in depth study concepts like grants, abstracts, IRB, and other elements of successful study.
