graduate architecture intern

May - October 2021 • SeaTac, WA

What I liked

It was a fantastic experience. They exposed me to a variety of different roles in the field of architecture and made sure to give me a really well rounded experience. Everyone at the Port went out of their way to make sure that I learned and understood the industry.

What I wish was different

There isn't anything that I would change about it. It was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Advice

I would say don't be afraid to reach out to other departments and ask to tag along on site walks and see what their projects are like. Everyone is really nice and wants to make sure that the interns at the Port learn and are well rounded.

Aviation Training Intern

What I liked

It was a professional work environment that pushed me to learn more and explore the available resources that the company had. They adapted to my skill level and were always supportive and helpful in the projects I pursued.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more career expansion opportunities or ways to meet coworkers and fellow interns in a group setting, I had to seek these out individually.
