POSITION: StudentU Sport Video Production Assistant

DESCRIPTION:
The Student position can range from camera operators, graphics operator, director, technical director, and even play-by-play announcers. The Student will be working alongside other student members of the production crew and will have the opportunity to cross-train on all positions. This position will be on-site at crew call and may be among the last to leave the venue after strike. Knowledge of sports is not required but is helpful. Physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions is a key attribute for this position.

• Operate cameras, replay, graphics, video switcher, video playback, camera shader, and other equipment for sports productions. (25%). 
• Assemble, prepare, and set up equipment prior to events, which may include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables, etc. (25%).
• Interact effectively on set with audio, production, athletes/coaches, and support staff. (25%). 
• Provide creative input for camera setup and set design for productions including live to web broadcast and interviews. (25%).

Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington, and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

REQUIREMENTS: 
High School graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience in electronics, television operations, or production OR equivalent education/experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to receive multiple instructions and carry out assignments in a timely manner.
• Attention to detail and active listening skills are required to be successful.
• Must be reliable and show up on time for scheduled call times.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and as part of a team.
