About the Institute for Protein Design:
The Institute for Protein Design (IPD) is designing a new world of proteins to address 21st century challenges in medicine, energy, and technology. We are a diverse team and rely on the excellent work of undergraduate students to provide IT support for the day to day functioning of a research computing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeping track of supplies inventory (e.g. printer paper and ink, peripherals).
- Unboxing, transporting, and setting up equipment.
- Desktop assembly and general maintenance.
- Simple video editing.
- Responding and acting on help tickets.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current UW undergraduate. Must be able to commit at least 8-12 hours per week. No prior IT support experience is necessary, however a background or interest in computer science, informatics, or related fields is preferred.
We offer flexible scheduling at the IPD during the regular M-F work week from 9AM-5PM.
