Elementary Lead Guide in Beautiful Boulder, Colorado

Mountain Shadows International Montessori School is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and adventurous Elementary Lead Guide to join our thriving Montessori community, nestled on a picturesque farm-style campus in the scenic farm mesas of Boulder County, Colorado. This is an opportunity to lead a well-established, mixed-age elementary environment serving first through sixth grade students (just under 30 children), supported by a collaborative and experienced team.

This position comes with strong, built-in support to help you thrive:

• A full-time assistant guide in training, who will complete their AMI Elementary training in Summer 2026.
• A part-time AMI-trained assistant, currently completing a Master’s program, with expected completion in Spring 2026.
• A tenured, highly experienced AMI-trained Elementary Coach, supporting the classroom and guide through mentorship, parent and community outreach, and administrative guidance.

Our ideal candidate may come from a variety of backgrounds - whether you’re just graduating AMI training, a seasoned AMI guide, or an AMS-certified guide interested in deepening your work within the AMI approach. What matters most is your commitment to Montessori pedagogy, your love for working with children, and your enthusiasm for joining a warm, supportive team.

This position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a well-established and dynamic classroom with support for continued development as a Lead Guide. As the program evolves, our goal is to return to distinct Lower and Upper Elementary classrooms as space and enrollment allow. 

Please note: We are also open to hiring the right person as a temporary Lead Guide for the upcoming school year, until our Assistant completes training and is ready to transition into the Lead Guide role.
