As a Software Developer or Data Scientist with an interest in data science and AI, you’ll play a vital role in supporting forensic teams by developing software solutions to analyze data from crime labs.
Job Description:
As a Junior Computer Programmer or Intern, you will help design and implement software products used in forensic labs. Your work will directly support our clients in analyzing data for various use-cases. From simple SQL queries to complex full-stack web applications that analyze millions of records across multiple criminal cases, you will gain hands-on experience in technologies such as ReactJS, Python, and NumPy.
You’ll be part of a dynamic team, working with forensic professionals to understand data requirements and develop innovative solutions. Your contribution will have a direct impact on communities across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write SQL queries for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.
- Develop full-stack web applications using ReactJS, Python, Django, and Node.js.
- Work with forensic teams to identify data-driven solutions to forensic use cases.
- Analyze large datasets from multiple criminal cases using tools like NumPy and Pandas.
- Support AI-related projects and data analytics efforts where applicable.
- Assist with deploying solutions in cloud environments, with AWS experience being a plus.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful software solutions.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for data management and analysis.
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Python, Django, JavaScript, Node.js, ReactJS.
- Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, and other data science/analytics tools is highly preferred.
- AI or machine learning knowledge is a significant plus.
- Experience with AWS or cloud-based deployments is a bonus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen or Green Card holder only (this is a legal requirement).
- Capable of passing criminal police and FBI background checks, along with potential drug tests.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No H1-B, Work visas, student visas, or temporary visas allowed as required by law).
- Ability to work in the U.S. (this is not a remote position outside the U.S.).
- In-person meetings are required, especially in the first couple of months, though most of the work can be done remotely.
- Final in-person interview required.
