With over 650 student-athletes participating in UW's 22 sports programs, the department of Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to providing student-athletes with the ability to compete for national and conference championships while working toward a degree from one of the world's leading public research universities.
Job Responsibilities -
- Assist with leaf blowing, pressure washing, and light facilities duties (changing ceiling tiles, work site set-up/ breakdown, furniture assembly, etc.)
- Help with conversions, set-up, operations, and breakdown for athletic and special events.
- Aid with daily maintenance, and light custodial duties to maintain facilities cleanliness.
- Assist with day-to-day activities within the facilities department.
- Act with the interest of the Athletics Department.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications –
- Ability to work early morning, evening, and weekends, as well as breaks and holidays (as needed).
- Will be trained in proper use of all necessary equipment, but familiar with and ability to use various power tools is a plus.
- Must have computer skills – (e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook and/or Workday).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and interest in sports/athletics.
- A team player with leadership skills to work independent or in a group setting.
- Enthusiasm with a desire to work hard and have fun.
Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Requirements –
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in events support and/or work in a collegiate or professional athletics environment OR equivalent education/experience.
