
Electrical Engineering/Vision Systems Intern

Kidney stone disease is a common problem that is painful and consumes vast amounts of healthcare resources each year. Responsibilities:
- Assist in development, testing, and analysis of camera & sensor electronic/optical sub-systems
- Partner with an engineer to design, prototype and evaluate electronic/optical sub-systems and test fixtures
- Perform optical and electronic bench testing, debugging and data analysis
- Perform root-cause analysis for prototype and production device failure modes
- Prepare design documentation, test protocols and reports
- Work closely with other R&D groups, Manufacturing, Quality, and other functional areas on design and development processes.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate (current junior/senior) or graduate student pursuing a BS or advanced degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, optical engineering or physics
- Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design and debug
- Ability to read and understand PCBA schematics/drawings/BOMs and electronic component datasheets
- Proficiency with Python for data analysis and measurement automation
- Hands on laboratory electronics skills including soldering, cable harness assembly, and operation of test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: optical component/system design & characterization, image signal processing algorithms, image sensor hardware electronicsÂ
- Ability to work in a Linux environmentÂ

- Must be able to lift 10 pounds, sit for up to 8 hours/day
