Manager, Husky Media Group

If you have marketing and communications knowledge and experience, and are interested in recruiting and leading a small team of student writers, we may have the perfect role for you!

Husky Media Group (HMG) is a department within Student Publications, which is within the Division of Student Life. Sister departments are The Daily, HUA Voice, and @smirkuw. HMG produces and publishes popular guides and maps for students and visitors to UW. Upcoming publications include the Major Guide, Cherry Blossom Map and UW Visitors Guide.

The ideal candidate will work with others to

·     devise and implement a vision for each project,

·     recruit and lead students who will write and produce content,

·     oversee design and production.

Desirable skills include: planning, writing, editing, clear verbal and written communication, and marketing.

On average, we estimate the work will require approximately 5 hours per week. 

This is an opportunity to develop work samples for your portfolio and gain management skills that will help set your application apart when you graduate.
