Personal Trainer

Department Description 

UW Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Life. We provide safe, accessible, and dynamic recreation experiences to engage students in growth and wellbeing. UW Recreation serves over one million students, faculty, and staff each academic year through informal and formal recreation, including fitness and sports classes, intramural and club sports, outdoor education, mindfulness programs, and more.

Job Description  
Under the supervision of the Senior Fitness and Wellness Manager, Personal Trainers are responsible for providing personalized fitness training and exercise programs to individuals. Examples of duties include: developing safe and effective comprehensive exercise programs for clients, conducting health and fitness screenings, and aiding in spotting techniques for clients.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 0-3 years of experience in Fitness
  • Personal Training certification from recognized organization
  • Earn and maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, & AED
