Starbucks Barista
OBJECTIVE:
Prepare and serve beverages at our Starbucks locations in the Suzzallo Library and Husky Den. Sustain University standards of honesty and integrity as well as providing quality service to customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have previous barista or customer service experience.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week.
TYPICAL WORK:
• Prepare the unit for opening and/or closing.
• Prepare and serve beverages to customers.
• Ensure that all food items are attractively displayed, meet all quality assurance standards, and are properly identified and priced.
• Restock and maintain cleanliness of display case, shelves, service stations and all work areas.
• Report operational problems to supervisor immediately.
• Refrigerate perishable food and maintain proper storage of other foods and supplies.
• Receive cash and debit card payments from customers; account for receipts at the end of the work shift.
• Follow up with supervisor regarding cash discrepancies.
• Maintain established security guidelines for key control, safe combinations and building access.
• Keep all areas of the operation clear of all litter and debris; remove garbage when necessary.
• Ensure that all visible surfaces are clean and orderly.
• Before completion of shift, complete inventory product sheets for next day’s operation.
• Ensure cleanliness of food service equipment.
• Prepare reports as necessary.
• May perform checkstand, prep staff and stewarding duties.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
2024 Compensation: starting at $19.97 per hour
