This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performance development team that is transforming the customer and dealer experiences associated with purchasing GM products, including Electric Vehicles (EV’s). The Finance function performs a critical cross-functional role in driving GM’s business success including improving company financial performance, managing cash to fund major vehicle programs, and reporting results and managing investor perceptions. Global Finance IT provides innovative technology solutions to support these objectives. Job Description
In this Data Management Analyst role you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs. You will define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets. You will also serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Computer Science, MIS / CIS, or another STEM-related major preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience is required (3 - 6 years of experience is preferred
  • Significant experience with data management tools (e.g., SAP Master Data Governance, Oracle Data Relationship Management, IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog)
  • Significant experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., PCF, Azure DevOps)
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with programming in Java, Python, .NET or other languages 
  • Knowledge of XML, in memory databases (HANA), and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) 
  • Familiarity with packaged and open source software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Vistex, SAP VMS, Zuora, PowerBI, Knime, etc.) 
  • Understanding of security, efficient code reuse, and software design 
  • Business process experience including Order Management, Pricing, Incentives, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Asset Accounting
