STUDENT STORY PRODUCER – MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS
HUSKY HEALTH CENTER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
StoryWell seeks an organized, strategic, and communicative student to serve as lead producer of marketing materials and digital content. The primary objective of this role is to work with key stakeholders to oversee the production of compelling stories that promote the UW health center. This role works closely with a professional advisor and student storyteller to create compelling materials for Husky Health Center as a member of StoryWell’s inaugural year.
ABOUT HUSKY HEALTH:
StoryWell is an educational lab administered by Husky Health Center to give UW Seattle students real-world experience, education, and projects in marketing and communication. Students working in StoryWell will spend their one-year term learning and practicing a variety of skills with a professional advisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Husky Health executive team to discuss and implement organizational objectives
- Organize video interviews, photoshoots, and media opportunities
- Brainstorm and research new promotional opportunities
- Coordinate StoryWell efforts among various stakeholders
- Secure and prepare stakeholders for promotional opportunities
- Anticipate upcoming events and obstacles to proactively organize marketing and communications materials
- Help StoryWell meet key social media, print, email, and event objectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits (for Undergraduate) or 5 credits (for Graduate)
- Comfortable openly discussing college healthcare topics
- Passionate about the fields of marketing and communication
- Familiar with latest short-form video trends
- Experience organizing multi-part projects and campaigns
- Detail-oriented leader willing to push projects forward
- Flexible working and coordinating with many stakeholders within a large campus community
DESIRABLE QUALIFCATIONS
- Experienced in creating timely deliverables in the realm of marketing and communication
- Focused on exploring professional opportunities in marketing and communication
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Standard Work hours: Flexible based on student schedule
- Part-time/Up to 19 hours per week
