Associate Civil Engineer

CDR is a civil engineering and land development management company located in Costa Mesa, California. Role Description: 

This is a full-time in-office role for an Associate Civil Engineer. As an Associate Civil Engineer at CDR, you will be responsible for preparing plans under the guidance of a Project Manager. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT license preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team

Responsibilities:

  • Research, interpret and apply city standards, codes and zoning requirements as it applies to sites 
  • Prepare title sheets, erosion control plan, survey, site improvement plan and fire master plan under the direction of a project manager 
  • Communicate with agencies and plan checkers 
  • Prepare comment response letters 
  • Fulfill project deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • Maintain a strong willingness to continually learn and grow
  • Adhere to CDR standard and core values
