Extended Day Teacher
University Child Development School (UCDS) seeks part-time Extended Day Program (EDP) Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year for a start in late August. EDP is a supportive after-school environment providing early and upper elementary students with engaging social, creative, and recreational opportunities. Positions are available at both the early and upper elementary levels.

Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for working with young children
- Positive attitude and sense of humor
- Reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral communication skills
- Patience and attentiveness
- Ability to pass a background check, obtain Food Handler card and First Aid/CPR Certification
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe environment for children on campus
- Planning and implementing daily crafts/organized activities for students
- Preparing daily snacks
- Foster behavior that is consistent with UCDS’ mission as a community of mutual respect
- Persistent attention to students’ social, emotional, and physical needs
Hours
- 2-6 PM on weekdays; we aim for teachers to work at least three days per week
- Flexible hours allow for peculiarities of class schedules and other part-time work
- $24/hr with additional wages for special days
