Front Desk Student Office Assistant Job Description - CSSC

 

The Community Standards & Student Conduct (CSSC) Office is seeking an hourly student employee to provide assistance in program operations and front desk support. CSSC is seeking candidates who are resourceful, reliable, engaged, and professional. 

 

Job Hours and Pay:

Up to 19.5 hours per week, M-F (primarily in person). Limited remote work may be available

$20.76 per hour 


Schedules are based upon workload, the applicant’s class schedule, and other academic responsibilities. Ideal candidates can provide a minimum of one academic year's commitment, with the potential to work summers, and are available to work during breaks. During academic breaks, hours can increase.
 

Supervision: 

Program Assistant, CSSC 

Responsibilities:  

  • Work closely and collaborate with CSSC’s Program Assistant on office management and CSSC operations.
  • Effectively contribute to a variety of projects as assigned by the Supervisor, including but not limited to organization of office spaces, process improvement, data analysis, office culture/team bonding, office projects, campus partner communication, and scheduling.
  • Assist in implementing operational initiatives at our Front Desk.
  • Assist with record keeping, file maintenance, and archiving.
  • Perform copying, scanning, and faxing, as needed.
  • Assist with conduct/disciplinary checks
  • Respond to requests and inquiries related to all aspects of the CSSC office by phone, email, or in-person communication.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate records in the database.
  • Collaborate with other team members on projects.
  • Assist the Supervisor in other duties as assigned.
  • Note taking during meetings and university training
  • Assist with case management and organizing case files
  • Assist with project management and CSSC educational programming

Minimum Qualifications  

  • 1 year of undergraduate student experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, sometimes repetitive environment.
  • Computer skills include working with spreadsheets, Google Drive, and word processing.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally & written) professionally and tactfully with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Pattern of excellent attendance and punctuality in prior positions.
  • Competency in working with a diverse population.
  • Navigate difficult conversations with students, staff, and faculty
  • Meticulous attention to detail; proven dedication to accuracy in each task performed.
  • Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in customer service
